FAQ
I already have basic copy. Can you polish it?
Good copy is built from the ground up, so “polishing” often becomes a full rewrite. It also still requires all the prep work, from the brand voice strategy call to the word bank. But if you’re looking at this option, you can go for an Intensive day which may be a better fit.
What's the difference between an Intensive and a regular website copy project?
An Intensive has a one-day turnaround and requires a minimum of only one day’s commitment, which is USD 1,470. We’ll assess the progress from there and decide whether to book a half day or full day next. Usually, a full website takes 2 - 2.5 days, but sometimes it only requires 1.5 days when there aren’t that many edits.
A regular website copy project runs on a turnaround timeline of 4-6 weeks and costs USD 2,740.
In both, you get the same deliverables.
Do I need to have a brand strategist/designer before I come to you for website copy?
Not necessarily, but it does help to have some idea of your brand direction or at least the image you want to portray. If you need recommendations for a brand strategist or designer, I can put you in touch.
Why is it in the criteria that I need to have been in business for 2 years and have a clear idea of my services?
The best copy has a crystal-clear voice, verve, and conviction. Those only come out when you are definite about what you offer.
I already have brand strategy done by someone else. Can we take that out of the package?
No — generic brand strategy is very different from copy-focused brand strategy. The latter focuses on your brand tone and personality, which I glean by talking to you and listening for your communication style, doing SEO research, and coming up with a word bank you can use in your copy. So I don’t write without doing the foundational work.
I don’t need that many drafts, or my website just has a few pages. Do you have a more suitable service?
I’d suggest the Intensive for this. In my experience, a website generally takes 2-2.5 intensive days. An easy-going client may approve the drafts quickly and it turns out to be just 1-1.5 days.
